Hi everyone, just found this site. Need help if anybody can. My VR6 mark 3 1995 has just dumped about a litre of oil whilst stationery in under two hours, looks like it's coming out of the top of the filter. Only drove for 30 minutes before that and in London, so less than 5 miles. Popped a couple of litres in and drove back, no loss of power and when I dropped it at the garage nothing seemed to be coming out. Admittedly only a cursory glance as I had to get back to work. Anybody had anything similar happen to them or any ideas? Dreading the call tomorrow that it's going to cost a small fortune, especially as I can't get to my appointment tomorrow and I'm self employed so it's already hurting the pocket before I even have to repair it. Thanks Kev

I am only guessing but could be the filter head gasket however you might find that the relief valve stuck which was why it blew or it was overfull, seems strange that no more has come out.
