Bit of an urban legend that one, I believe that barns just a collectors storage facility, not the story it's made out to be.
Yeah i know but the contents are great!.... i do love watching proper finds and resto's

not quite the same but the Chrysler Belvedere that the yanks buried 50 years ago as a time capsule was a disaster when they dug it out recently... felt quite sorry for them as it would have been cool if it had survived.

Have a look at this then look through the related vids when they unearthed it

yeah... but what a bunch of dicks... complete waste of a good car.. fancy not thinking that a concrete capsule would leak?!

might be something cool to do though... you know... very quietly... get a mk5.5 and bury it

I felt a bit sad for the car!... not the people.  I love how at the unveiling they still ham it up like its all dead exciting even though its fooked....  some guy tried to restore it to look a bit better later on.  they should habe got you on the case.  :grin:  be a job and half that!

I looked into quite a bit at the time as I obvioulsy had nothing better to do... As far as I know they have no intention of restoring, some guy did do some work on cleaning it up but thats as far as they planned to go with it I think.
