OK, this is the mk6 section (and I now own one), but a quick bit of advice needed from the band of wise members.

My MY2002 mk4, GT TDI PD 130 (mouthful) with 135,000 on the clock (leather, cruise, not much else) and, to be honest, a bit tired and well used, is up for retirement. Do I take the dealer's offer of £1,400 or shall I try on eBay? Similar aged cars are going for about a grand more, but is the comfort of a guaranteed sale and no come-back a better option.

As I say, not strictly mk6 stuff, but you guys know a lot!

But please mk6ers still give your contribution.
