no interior light when door opens and doors lock themself

hi on m golf mk4 when i open the doors my interior lights do not come on and after about 30 sec my doors will lock them selves this is really annoying as it seems my cars has a mind of itself ive heard that it could be soldering on the door module is required if so does this mean i have to do it on all my doors as none of the lights come on wot ever door i use could someone please point me in the right direction as want to get cracking as finally had enough and would this also solve the problem of the buzzer not sounding when the door is open and you leave your lights on cheers

What have u tried so far? i.e fuses, electrical testing, etc etc.......   As for the doors locking, isn't that supposed to happen as a safeguard against leaving your car unlocked? Think it might be anyway

Ive seen this before, but it was a long time ago, iirc the fault was in the overhead interior light, it either had water in it, or something was shorting out, drop it down and have a look...

so far checked all fuses and they are all fine dont know wot electrical testing to do with the doors locking themselves it does not even give me change to put my boy in his seat before it locks itself even tho there is 1 or two doors still wide open it does not seem to register that the doors are open so prob why it keeps locking it self it driving me mad  i cut the cable on the alarm horn as thats driving me round the bend going off all time coz it will lock itself then you will close the door and it sets it off

the interior lights are working fine when i operate them manually not when open door tho
