admiral or elephant should cover your remap (they did on mine previously) but expect ~30% premium increase.
As said above, best to part with the ££ now if you want the extra bhp as its much cheaper than void insurance in a crash (for you and everyone else).

Ideally what you want to do is remap around the time when your insurance is due for renewal rather than midway through your policy.  Any mods done halfway through normally gives the insurance companies license to print money

Wait until insurance renewal time so you're free to shop around and pick the best deal  :wink:

Thanks guys will try call them again today see how much its going to be!

I am with Admiral as I have two cars Golf is my toy LOL! Its a 1.8T 20V 99 plate so hoping to get the remap and DV valve done with R-tech in the one visit.

Anyone one else with Admiral?

Kev how much they charging for the re map??

Morning All,

Finally got round to ringing Admiral again. Quoteed £88 for the rest of the year for a BHP increase between 11% - 25%. My policy runs August to August so only four months into it.

Thoughts?
