Thanks for the help gents - Ken has kindly sold me a heater panel - I doubt my shaky hands can cope with that how to :D

Took the lower dash apart earlier, and will sort the power socket bulb later

Also took the opportunity whilst the dash was in bits to put in a new heater blower as well, so some more progress in getting it back to tip top condition - the old one was noisy as hell with worn bearing :)

Lovely Looker.... Just need some Eibach Springs to bring her down a tad (30mm) and she'll look so much better...

Just for info if anybody wants to put led's in the dash, you'll need 570 ohm resistor wired in series or the led will pop, wire it to the long leg of the led

Not always, I replaced all my dash switches with normal LEDs and they work fine (even with the dimmer).

Cool, I was doing my mates maverick today an popped a couple hence the resistor.
