the MK3 is heavier. Therefore the springs are thicker and/or have a greater tensile strength. If you stuck them on the MK2 the car would naturally sit higher as there isn't the weight to compress the spring.  By compressing these springs to make them shorter, for the MK2 , you are also making them stiffer. The spring is now compressed even more so it will have less travel and a produce a stiffer ride.

so they will be fine, and sit evenly, but be stiffer? well thats what I want cause ive got arch scrub issue with my wiiiide ass wheels

yeah,as above. Spring rates are the kg rating attached to a spring.

Heavier cars have 'stiffer' springs, to function with the additional load.
When you put springs from a heavier car on, it will make the ride firmer (how much depends on how much the rates differ)

You'll still be able to adjust the height, it just might be a rough ride maybe there is someone about who is using mk3 coils on their mk2 who can comment.
