ive noticed that the glovebox light, boot light and head unit dont work unless the key is turned in the ignition, and when i do turn the radio on, it doesnt pick up a radio station, although the stations are already programmed in

any ideas what i can do?

yip, i get radio stations no problems they just dont stay on there

Aftermarket head unit? Need to swap the red and yellow wires on the head unit
