Mk4 1.6 emissions workshop
« on: 16 November 2010, 11:51 »
Hey guys, new to this forum and wouldn't mind a bit of help please :-)
Had a quick search and found nothing directly the same as mine but a few very similar so just throughout I'd doubble check.

So yesterday at work I left my lights on for 8 hours like a nob, my parking involved climbing out of the passenger door so it didn't beep to tell me.
I've only had the car just over a week now (03 plate 57k on the clock)
Anyway I ended up having to bump start the car as my battery charger is in my old car.
Since I did that two error light came on the dash. One disappeared as soon as I turned the engine off and started it again but there is still the orange engine light and an error message stating "emissions workshop" appears on the dash.

Is this anything directly relating to bump starting the car and is it something I need to worry about? Or should I just leave it a couple of days and see if it sorts it's self out then take it to a garage?

Cheers in advance
Jonny

this is due to voltage drop from a flat battery mate, just needs a diagnostic plug in and reset , anybody local to you that can do this?
