To be fair, he did alot to it before he broke it lol

True bud, took me for ever to get the engine bay like it was, all that hard work for nothing lol. Pluss I realy wanted to lower it and get bbs splits onit before that car gose to vw heaven lol.

contact the dvla they hold the current owners details I think there is a fee but I am sure the best way to trace it will be through them. I bet the current owner is not aware its on the hpi registar also try a hpi check as will show how many owners it has had since you were the last keeper. Your right it is a rare colour R plates only used to have one myself you can see it in the old sig I really should update.

Yeah I tryed the DVLA today they wont tell me much just that some one dose own it but by law cant give me the registers details  I may ring again over weekend and ask them to pass a message on to previous owner for me that I'm a keen buyer if they wish to sell. I remember your sig mate think you are the only other persone I know that haa  MK3 Ruby Red Pearl GTi

try the dvla thread in the general forum stickies, he might be able to hlep. Yes I loved that colour but was about 5 years ago sold it for a vr6 highline in black at a very good price but it nearly killed me, now in a lardy arse mk3 1.8 cabriolet (and a mk2 16V ) but if one came up in this colour through my contacts would buy it as love the colour
