anybody no what this is ?

i have got my car scanned on a diagnostic computer, and there is 1 fault code that keeps appearing it is (17946 Engine Shutoff solenoid/ short to ground) does anybody know what this is and what i can do to fix it, or do i need take my car to a garage ?
