Bora 1.8T Problem Stuttering Under Acceleration
« on: 19 September 2010, 22:30 »
Hi.
I recently bought a 2002 Bora 1.8T. Remapped up to around 210BHP.
A few days ago I noticed that when I accelerated it started stuttering.  Only happened when it was cold at first but now it does it all the time.  Happens when I get over 3000rpm.  Feels like it is losing power and jumping.  Anybody help me on this please?
Hope it's not gonna be an expensive fix!
Thanks.

My mk4 1.8 t golf had this problem, was a combo of boost leak and a filthy throttle valve.

Valve was easy to clean, I'm a complete novice and managed it in 30mins with a guide off the web, had to get a mechanic to replace the leaking pipe though.
