Dead battery. Bump start. Non working rev counter.
« on: 11 October 2010, 20:04 »
Right, I did the retarded act of leaving my lights on thus coming back to a dead car.
The problem is, I bump started it up and the rev counter stopped working (still got the speedo though  ), also the oil and water LEDs were constantly lit and the MFA doesn't work, just some random shapes on the screen!
I checked the clock fuse and that was fine (until I snapped the c*nt trying to get it back in  )
Anyone know how to sort it?

cheers
Mitchell

Hi
Disconnect the car battery for a few minutes.

your speedo is mechanical so it will still work.

Sounds like a damaged x-over relay or blown fuse.

Sorted it!
Disconnected the battery whilst playing with the alternator, got a new fuse from halfrauds and jobs a good un!
Cheers all
