Experiences with eibach koni
« on: 24 January 2005, 22:02 »
let us know how good/bad  you reckon it is and if youve had any probs after fitting bad noises etc.
Lets face it once you stiffen the ride up  and lower mines about 35 mm you`re going to get a few more creaks  but whats acceptable?
Has any one got the perfect clunk  free set up?
Cheers

Got Eibach shocks and springs all round, lowered about 30mm. I am running this with 15" alloys, while it looks nice too be honest I feel that its too stiff, especially in the back. If you come across a section of bumpy road or a pot hole you really feel it.

I`m really pleased with the way the car rides now, more  sporty( in a jiggy sort of way mate) than what it used to be like.Looks way better aswell mines on std 15`s with Exaltos.I find the car seems to drive better with some weight in the car ,yet the performance suffers. When i changed Springs I found i had a leaking shock so 2 weeks on i replaced with konis and lowering caps altough kept the std boge  gas on the back .Bought mine from TSR pleased with helpfull  service although one of the shocks looked like it was kicked around a bit when i got em,and i think thats the side thats making this noise thats really starting to  me off. Before i start to replace any ideas on what else it could be .Only about 3 months old surley the top mounts havent gone already,i think they were not o/equip as the diameter looked smaller than the fat old ones when we fitted or was this due to the old ones being 60k  old.
Any advise or comments please
