4motion v6 bde and r32 exhaust downpipes

Hi i have a golf v6 4motion with the bde engine, my exhaust downpipe has split on the flexi and i dont really want to spend £278 on a standard replacement , does the r32 downpipe fit or will i need the cats and manifolds aswell ? Also what is the different in the diameter of the pipe they both use.
