Newbie from East Midlands
« on: 30 September 2010, 18:21 »
Hello All,

Bought my first Golf MK4 GTI 1.8T last year from a neighbour. Only £1200 so it now time to do some work on her. T Reg 5 door had 83,000miles on the clock but now over 100k. Still going strong but having a few damp issues at the moment. Drivers footwell and passengers side of the boot near the rear lights. Any ideas would be of great help. Any way enough of my troubles. Glad to join the forum and hope to get some great ideas from you all soon.

welcome along

passenger footwell- do you have a sunroof? if so probably blocked drain tubes or the drain holes for the area below the scuttle panel blocked or broken pollen filter cover.

boot- rear washer not working? pipe to the wiper motor, boot seal gone or the vents under the bumper each side lettin water in.

fear is temporary, regret lasts forever...
