front window wiper motor mec needs replacing

i had a problem ,about 2 months ago my window wipers got stuck in the midle of the windscreen. I fixed them with wd40 but there going back to the same sh!T......how hard is it to remove the plastic cover over the motor ,and how much would it cost to get new windscreen wiper mec .....its not the motor ..its the drivers side window wiper seized....thanks ,james :sad:
AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

thats the same as mine ,common fault on mk4 golfs ...driverside gets seized ........man how you get the plastic off ,i dont want to snap mine ,well not to much  :evil:

We did tell that WD40 wouldn't "fix" it!!

It's the linkage that fails. Go to a scrappy and get a wiper linkage and that way you can see how to remove the trim without worrying about breaking it by taking it off of the scrap car...
