Retrofit Aircon from 16v into 8v...?
« on: 22 September 2010, 00:10 »
Is this possible?
I have access to a valver with A/C (head gasket went)...
How hard do you think it would be?

Cheers

buy another ABF lump, sell your 8v car and revel in the lovliness of more valves

you've pretty much got to take the car to bits to retrofit a/c. dash out and everything out in the bay apart from the engine. As above stick the 8v in a kelloggs box where it belongs and fix the valver.

More hassle than it is worth, compressor will not fit a 8v plus major work.

Thanks for the replies guys, unfortunately the valver has a Certificate of Destruction so it cant go back on the road, otherwise I would fix it...
Might buy myself a valver in the next couple of years :)
