Any1 fancy tryin 2 giv us some clues 2 wats not very happy on my golf  right erm running sh!t basically between 2000- 3000rpm it judders like a twit above 3000 it runs sweat as a nut. am woundering if it cud be the sensor on top of the throttle body 4 when u giv it the beans but does this advance the spark or does it retard the spark. if that makes any sense 2 any1? its got new magnecor kv85 leads on new mega spark coil, new syntec fuel pump and filter only thing i havnt done is the FSE fuel regulator. but money is bit tight at min as ive just put it on road after 2yrs of complete rebuild. if any1 can help it wud be great help THANKS people.

Sounds like it needs a retune, after about 3000 rpm the spark doesnt need advancing as the "engine turbulences enables a quick burn " so thats why it feels fine after 3k but before that then yes, so sounds like you need your spark adjusted. It may be something else im not experienced at all

My 8v done something like this and it was the ignition amp on top of ecu.
When i touched the ecu there was sparks coming off the cage and you could hear the engine fluctuate. Iundid the screws while it was running and lifted it off the cage and hey presto,sweet running golf.
Tried doing the ignition timing before i found this out and the marks were just all over the shop because it wouldn run at 2500rpm very well.
