Anyone had a Intake Flap Runner replaced?
« on: 13 September 2010, 19:49 »
When I had my service, I told them the engine light came on a few times and they checked the log and it turned out that the Intake Flap Runner was faulty.

VW offered a 70% of the repair under good will, but seeing as my dealer screwed loads of thing up on the actual service, they agreed to pay for the balance and labour, which would have been £143!

anyone else had one go?

mines 56 plate, 2007 model year.

:-)

Not an uncommon failure according to the US forums.

Had this issue flag up on vcds. Implausible signal from intake runner as one of its errors

Cleaned my air filter and fault cleared (as it was a cotton based filter and not oem Paper type)

Been perfect ever since with no more warning lights flashing up fortunatly.
