Just roll the price of the GTI into the house. no problems. No one would notice.

Well spotted, that man. The GTI is worth barely 3% of the full asking price...

The idea came to me when I remembered a guy in London doing more or less the same thing a few years ago. He put his house up on eBay with a 'free' Ferrari. Anyhow, my ad seems to be having the desired effect: the morality and legality of what I have done is being fervently debated on forums over here as I type. The French are often a bit sceptical when presented with a new idea.

All publicity is good publicity, as they say

Good grief, I only did this last night and someone has spotted it already...!

We are moving to warmer climes and therefore selling our house. To attract publicity in the online ads I have put up, I am offering my GTI free to the buyer. I suppose, in a way, this thread proves that it was a good idea

If you're interested (which I'm sure you're not), you can see the advert here:

I wouldn't normally have posted all this, but as Fred started the ball rolling...

FroGTI, your house is beautiful by the way.

If I win the lottery, I might just buy it off you and out of good will let you keep your GTI

Sorry Frog, not being funny or anything but that doesn't look like £833,000 worth of house to me. [Your car is probably worth £25K and you say that's 3% of the value]
You must still be a few cards short of a pack, because unless you are having problems selling your house and you are desperate to move for whatever reason, you are just giving money away.

Are you saying the asking price for the house is too high, or too low? At current exchange rates it is £640,000.

Maybe we could leave it at that? It was never my intention to post this information on here in the first place, and I certainly don't want to the forum to be flooded with posts about an issue which is very indirectly related to Golf GTIs

Lovely house there frog! Is the car not suited to where your moving to? Seems a shame to give it away but you've obviously got your reasons.
Good luck with everything mate, hope ya get what you want.
