exhaust clamp swap
« on: 09 August 2010, 12:12 »
would a couple of jubilee clips be sufficient to replace and exhaust clamp? i've got problems with the clamps banging around and vibrating on the beams under my car. Tried moving them to some imrpovement but still got issues when i have any sort of weight in the back of the car so i though if they worked ok jubilee's would give me more clearance.

i'm fully expecting someone to say no thats a stupid idea, but i'm losing my rag with the noises!!

I don't see why not? Myt Scorpion system came with essentially bigger/stronger jubilee clips which you adjust with a 10mm socket

No will not be strong enough, they will break or pull back through.

GSF sell some fat clamps as above for cheap - I can't imagine it will knock if you position it right and they hold PLENTY tight.
