DSG issue?
« on: 06 August 2010, 18:03 »
So I picked up my new to me '09 R32 DSG today. It all seems fine, except that it is impossible to move off from stand still without the car lurching forwards. Is this a problem with the mechatronic unit, or just the nature of the car? Once it's going its fine, but moving off is a bit lurchy in comparison to a manual.

VW main dealer - Arnold Clark Jordanhill. I'm sure it'll be fixed without issue.

As other thread, if its almost bunny hoping from a standstill, then the DSG mechantronic's unit is Knacked.

09 plate will have warranty.

Return her to the garage, soon as to sort.

It's more subtle than that. However dealer agrees something not right. They've sent a report to VW Tech. Expect an answer mid next week
