Just got my 1st MK IV 2.0 GTI

Hi All,

Recently bought my 1st MK IV GTI 2.0.

As far as i'm aware it is bulk standard until next week when it is having a Milltek Exhaust system fitted.

Can you tell me:-

Do 18" alloys fit straight on with no mods. and will they rub with original suspension?

Can anyone recommend a remapping? If so which type/Company (near Dorset/Hampshire)?

Looking forward to upgrading the car as much as my wallet/wife will allow

welcome to the forum. re mapping would be pointless as you've got a naturally aspirated engine. best you can do is induction and exhaust, lairy cams etc. re mapping might give 2 bhp at best

You saved me a few quid with that advice. Had the exhaust fitted yesterday, sounds and looks g8 with new 4motion valance. Will look into induction kit next then, any you could recommend?

Sorry been away on holiday. I got the exhaust supplied & Fitted by Kartechnic in Poole, Dorset 01202 677455 www.kartechnic.co.uk

They organised the exhaust and rear valance for me. Total cost was £483.14 inc. VAT.

Sounds g8. Looks G8.
