VR6 Conversion Sold!!! :(
« on: 26 July 2010, 09:29 »
Sold my gti/vr6 only after a few months :(, was running perfect and was very quick! faster than accords and civics type r, and caught a dc5 teg, i also had a race with another vr6 and caught that.

It is the same speed as a 1.8t 225-bhp audi TT, and im guessing the same as the s3.

And the sound is unbeatable, basically what i am trying to say is if you want to do the conversion or buy a vr6, don't let anyone tell you that there not much better than the 16v/8v (not saying there bad engines, but performance wise they got no chance)

The only mods i had were milltek decat and milltek exhaust.

Sold it because i would rather put an R32 in the corrado

Badtimes! how much work/time/cost was involved with your conversion?

cost about £350 but i sold my 16v engine so done it for free, work involved isn't much. and took about 2-weeks because i was waiting around for parts.

It is a lot harder to put a R32 in the Corrado.

Hahaha Mike :D +1 ;)
R32 engines aren't the easiest to obtain, especially if you want all the ancilaries and looms :P
Had a look myself for around 2 months and couldn't find one that fit what i wanted :'(

Let me know when you get the rado ;) we can go for a drive !
