hey all,

Just got my new car yesterday and when i put the lights on the dash doesnt seem to light up? am i being stupid or are they not ment to come on just by turning the lights, also whats the wheel above my light switch?

The little wheel should adjust the brightness of your (I guess not working) dash lights. You can pick up replacement bulbs from eBay for about £5 for a set and changing them is easy if a bit of a faff. You have to take the steering wheel off, strip all the dash switches out, remove the dash plate and then pull the clocks out after disconnecting them from the loom, speedo cable and vacuum hose.

The wheel on the light switch is to dim the dash lights, make sure its all the way to the left to make sure they come on.
Mind you its quite common for the bulbs to have blown in these old cars. There's three on the back of the clocks, you normally
have to take the clock module out to replace them although I've seen some posts on here where people have managed to replace them without taking it out. Need very small hands I guess?

Think it might be the bulbs as the heating lights are working altho i wont really tell till it get dark lol

Ok i found out that just one bulb works on the rev counter and speedo so at some point i will have to change the others
