Alarm keeps triggering!
« on: 20 June 2010, 13:28 »
Touring around Scottish isles and taking a lot of car ferries. Every time, the vibration sets off my alarm which is annoying and embarrassing! How can I lock my car but keep the alarm disabled?

There are buttons either on the drivers door or just to the right of the drivers seat depending on model year. Or you could press the lock button twice until you hear the deadlocks de-activate.

Thanks Guys, always knew two clicks on the key deactivate the deadbolts but didn't know that also deactivated the motion alarm.

I have this problem occasionally. Mainly when some huge-ass lorry comes thundering down the road. Get the sensitivit adjusted if you need to.

i had this in london where passing buses would set off my alarm, so my dealer lowered the sensitivity to 60%, no problems since.
