How accurate is the fuel consumption figure on the in car computer , has anyone compared the figure to a manual calculation ? I mix it up a bit on long journeys and often return 35 + which is great if accurate

Thanks

I've checked it using the old fashioned way of brimming the tank and checking miles etc.

It worked out to be within 0.1mpg. I was very impressed as my last 3 cars and bikes have been between 5 and 14% out.

I always thought it was more out than that. I'm impressed.

I've always taken my MPG reading with a pinch of salt.
