Detailed @ Fenech's Finesse Part 2
« on: 19 June 2010, 11:01 »
Patch’s(mine) car finished , well after 13 hours of polishing the car is finally complete , there are a good 50 or so pictures in this thread so make yourself comfortable .... to be honest I got carried away taking pics and you will see why in a minute :

Day two began by washing , de taring and then claying the car , once the car was clayed it was then taped up and polishing began :

The drivers door has been refined the rear hasn’t :

Adam having a go at correcting the paint with megs #4 and a white SFX1 pad :

Look at the concentration : :embarassed:

Whilst Adam tackled the roof I set about correcting the bumper , there are still a few deeper marks but with it being plastic I didn’t want to use a harsher combo, correction was carried out using Intensive Polish on a yellow Sonus SFX2 pad and then refined with Final Finish :

Dinner time , whist having our bacon butties the inevitable happened .... RAIN so up went the gazebo to offer some protection against the showers :

Once all correction work was carried out the car was then moved so we could check for any holograms , please note NO LSP has been applied at this stage :

Direct light photos :,a few RDS's left, but all swirls have gone

The car was then moved under the gazebo for the LSP which today was megs #7 and P222 wax , by this time it was chucking it down and  we couldn’t apply the wax/glaze due to the rain , so we packed a few microfibers into the boot and plenty of QD then drove just round the corner and asked the guys at Wash and Go if we could use one of their bays to apply the wax , they kindly agreed, so after having 20 mins to glaze/wax the car this is what we were left with :

The car was then rolled out of the bay and more pictures were took :

Checking the paint :

We quickly pulled into Asda’s car park and took even more pictures as the rain came:

My Favourite shot of the day :
