HI
i have just bought a reel of 3mm bore vacuum pipe.
Any one know how many/ locations of vacuum pipes that can be replaced?
Haynes manual doesn't really say, without reading it all from back to front

This is based on my AGG engine which as far as i know is the same or close enough...

Theres not that many smaller pipes to replace, the ones i did was the one on the right side of the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator.

There is a bigger one above that for the brake servo,  I found my pipe had actually split and been taped up causing issues on the L bend where it joins the servo, check that out but its tricky to get back on so visually check first!  if you replace the servo hose use the right type of pipe!  and dont move or leave the check vavle out!

There is also another bigger diameter pipe on the left side of the manifold that operates the emissions canister, cant miss it, replace that too.

Basically look on the manifold and throttle body, All vac hoses will end up connecting to that so follow them and see where they go.
10 golfs and counting!
