Hello,  just got my mk5 gti with grey leather.  Its never been treated and its an 05, not much miles on it but before it cracks or anything I wan;t to get it all cleaned and conditioned.  Is Gliptone good at lasting for a long time?  I would be looking too do it about every 3 months?  Sounds about right I think.  Was going to buy the cleaner and the conditoner both from gliptone.  Are the both great?  Also with the conditioner would I need the one that waterproofs also or just the conditioner? I know I got alot of questions but I love this GTi and its going to stay amazeing loooking inside and out!   All help much apreciated.

Was the top two i was going to go for, the  GT12 cleaner and the GT11 conditioner but seen the waterproof one and wondered what it was like and if any difference.

Thanks
Kevin

you wouldn't need to do the clean that often with the 'cleaner' but feeding once every 3 months with the second one down is a good idea.

buy both and use them both. gliptone is great stuff... not too strong but very good quality and smell great too!

Got the idea, gliptone is great! lol.  Really can't wait to get it onto the seats.  Thanks for the quick replies and the line to the post, big help.  Will let you know it goes when i try it.  Ooo last question on the subject, do you use a cloth too apply the cleaner and conditioner?  Alot of peope say a small nail brush but hmm don't like the sound of that.

Thanks again

Hi Kev, the cleaner comes out of the bottle in a sort of 'gloopy blob' if you know what I mean. What I do is water it down very very slightly with a few mist sprays. I then mix it together and its fairly runny after that, its far easier to spread and then clean your leather. You can use a microfibre to apply it, thats what I do, I just dip it into my mixed cleaner solution and bobs your gran. The conditioner is different, its very easy to use and its easy to spread.

You can use a leather brush, but its not really needed imo. Plus I would never scrub my leather with a brush. I use cotton buds to get into the folds and seems of the leather seats.
