Hi all,

I'm a first time dub owner and I recently bought my first, a mk3 golf Gti, for a rally. I fell in love with it on the rally and I'm now thinking of replacing my escort with one.

I plan to have a good read of the forums for tips, but anyone got any good advice for buying a decent Gti for under £800?

What kind of spec is that golf running?

Just Reading through the mk3 section at the mo.

She's a Gti 2000 2L 8v.... That's what it says on the log book :D

Hasn't got any leather or anything, think it's pretty standard other than that. It's got 178k on it, pinks a little some time and genrally is fun to drive. The drivers side window reg was kaput so it was replaced with a switch, and it had a new boot as it was rusted through.

It's pretty much got a full service history too...... And I payed £200 fir her :D
