What do we think of this idea then? Custom fan switch

So the Chrysler cooling problem was not the relay.  Tested with a multimeter showing no result tried second hand known working one and nope. 

Bastard PCM module has gone and it's gonna be hundreds to sort and really not worth it as the cars getting old now.

SO I'm thinking of buying:

Splicing into a pipe on the car and finding a fan switch that fits then wiring it up so that it turns on a 40A relay which turns the fans on.

Good idea?
