Boost problems, any help
« on: 07 June 2010, 21:13 »
Rite i have view many topics and failed to find a answer to my problem

I drive a remapped AUM with a TIP, forge DV, and a full thru system, over time the boost has slightly reduced from 18-19psi down to 16-17 but now after i have had my clutch changed, the car is back to boosting at 18psi but is stuttering and then backing off to 15psi, any ideas? ? ?

I know the clutch hasnt got any thing to do with the boost but dont know what the mechanic had to move/adjust/refitted (besides the clutch obviously) piping?

Bit worried because the engine management light started flashing when this happened and havnt drove it since (however engine management light didnt stay on)

Im guessing its to do with the N75, hosing, boast leak, or possible the hoses closing under pressure and choking the turbo/outlet

Any ideas would be great

have nothing so far, but i have read that fault codes vcan take up to 40 starts to set off the engine management light, (bearing in mind the battery has only just gone back on, could take time lol) I did have the same problem some time back and carnt remember the code but it was related to the wastegate not opening properly (i think), but after i took it to the garage they told me the car was misfiring . . . . the problem then when away

Any ideas how often a car misfires?

With it possibly related to the wastegate, i think it might be related to the N75 valve? (i did remove this to see if there was any difference in the boost, but just when in to limp mode (no surprise)
