1.8t parts, ibiza clutch etc
« on: 27 July 2010, 15:57 »
OK, first off sorry for all the 1.8t posts recently lol, just wanna clear everything up before I start :)

So I'm starting to get bits and pieces together now, so far I have
Downpipe
1.8t Cat
Map sensor
agu ECU on the way shortly mapped and immob defeated
VR6 clutch

Next on my list is the Ibiza clutch setup. Without having the engine or gearbox to look at its a bit confusing working out what I need, so my next question is, what exactly do I need from the Ibiza clutch setup? :)
Cheers!

I assume you mean SEAT cable clutch conversion parts, if so:
http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107068

you need a flywheel from MK3/SEAT ABF or any Corrado, Golf G60 or most Passat B3/4 models. some of the base spec passats have a smaller clutch, so just make sure its the 228mm one

does the mk2 cable fit without modding? been reading up and some people saty its too short or needs the plastic bits removing to free up more of the cable etc

mine fit fine. you will need to drill a hole into the scuttle tray area as it doesnt take the same path :)

will the standard 8v gti fuel regulator be good enough for the job of running a mapped 1.8t with a k03s? if not I can get a 4 bar for £20

the 1.8t has a 3bar fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. the engine should come with this tbh. dont want 4bar fpr for the k03s.
