Just joined, have a 95 gti8v and am in process of replacing lots of parts so will probably ask lots of questions :embarassed:
work done already= water pump, strut brace, rear discs, pads + wheel bearings, new rear lights, 3(!) window mechs, new(ish) front seats, stereo/speakers....
Plan to do next:
Clutch
Front discs, pads, bearings
Lowered shocks/springs
cylinder head overhaul (I have no idea how many miles car has done, speedo says 29000...)
Trying to make it as reliable as possible so most work is for peace of mind more than anything
Anyway, pleased to become a member of community and if I discover any tips will pass on...
