anybody know if a agg engine has a idle stabilisation valve?

No it doesn't, as far as im aware they were only on the earlier mk3's and then late mk2's ie Digifant engines.

That's odd..i was sure my agg has an idle valve circuit, infact a vw mechanic explained to me about the idle valve taking over once the revs drop within range after a problem i was having..mines an agg 97,
When the revs drop to just under 1000rpm something seems to lock in and take the revs down to 900 rpm, i've owned this car for some years now and the idle position has never faltered a hairs thickness! always exactly to 900 rpm..
Is this something different or am i wrong?
