« on: 15 April 2010, 12:16 »
hi
well finally got round to tacking the bubbled rust on door and did an ok job but since i had to do it outside bit of wind caught the primer and now have bit of finely sprayed grey paint on metallic black door.  Is wet and dry best way and then respary or can i remove without damaging paint any way?
Also need to redo 1 bit as masked of area and sprayed up and looks like a square partch on door  so wet and dry - shoud it be used wet or dry and does it matter anyhoo??

a clay bar should remove that. (thats what they were originaly made for, overspray on cars bodywork, not for cleaning them) if its on glass a rasor blade or stanley knife blade will remove it very easely

you might want to use a more agressiave clay though. failing that you would be looking at 2000-3000 wet and dry then a polishing compound like g3 or g10 and a mop to remove the sanding marks that are left.

if your near me i can have a go for ya (lincolnshire)
