knocking noise

the car has developed quite a nasty knock from the front left hand side when turning the wehhl nearly onto full lock =( . . .
could anyone suggest anything to check out once i get the wheel off?

front subframe rear mounting bolt/nut? the encapsulated nut has a tendancy to shear off and is welded inside the chassis leg. this means cutting a hole in your floor and re-welded a new nut in.

see if you can freely rock your front wheel forwards and backwards  :lipsrsealed:
