what idiot fitted my golf with elecgtrics from an early ninetys renault?

randomly the alarm, and electric windows have packed up. i reckon its a fuse as i can still use the keys to work the windows, and i've never had any problems before,

and i did have the stereo cranked a bit - could it of pulled too much current and popped a fuse somewhere?

gotta get up at 6 tomorrow to have a look at it - niice

also does anyone have any idea if the bit of plastic that goes into the rear wiper motor for the squirty is that available seperatly or is it a whole new motor? mine's split on the bit of plastic going into the pump not the hose itself? pita

you can get a repair kit from the dealers for the wiper motor or just some copper pipe is another fix

dont suppose you know what fuse 14 is for? hoping its my windows and alarm.

but i suppose that could be some of the engine fuses? gonna have a little nosey now

14 operates the central locking and electric windows

yeah it was 14, all sorted now.

had to pay 1.99 for 2 fuses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
and i popped 2 straight away - didn't realise the ignition was on  :embarassed:
3.98 to change one fapping fuse

where did you buy them from!!?? 

Get a box all of sorts for a couple of quid from Halfords - keep a box in the glovebox

needed them asap, the mrs was having a hissy fit about it.

will be buying some spares from a more reasonable priced place for my spares though
