car just back from the garage

just picked the valver up from the garage.this is what has been done

rocker cover gasket           ball joint
timing chain                       air filter
tension roller                     spark plugs
timing belt                         oil filter
new headlamp                  synthetic oil
rear caliper                        sump washer seal
engine mount
rear brake discs                   all in all parts and labour
pads                                                              ?578

i can really tell the differance between my old 8 valve and the 16 valve.with all the new bits it pulls like a train ;D

just got mine back on friday... it had "the works" ( pretty much what you had done minus cambelt and your broken stuff) and it definitely runs smoother pulls better. :)

Woha! you could buy a car with that!

but you may end up with a car full of old, botched or nearly dead bits.. ;)

if you know whats been replaced and when you will know whats on its way out.. at least thats the theory ;)
