yep jacked up wheel off new rear sensor ready to go  got retaining bolt out with some penatrating spray, and in haynes at this point it a simple pull out abs ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha no it fu**ing not

tried the spray cleaned all rounf the sensor grimp and rust gone worked at it and sprayed worked at it and sprayed untill it looked like it was comming out and then  crack the whole top section clean off grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

not need ideas to get the rest out??????

if i screw in a screw into the remaining part then try pull it out???

or chip it away bit by bit?

will this cause any damage ie parts going into hub(silly question but was a thought)

or shall i just pour petrol over the whole car and hav a bon fire???? (as pend money treat it nice and it always bites me the cow)

oh had idea could i take off rear disc is there a way of pushing the sensor through from disc side???????? as i never done taken off rear disc on mk4

I had a look at my rear o/s abs sensor last week as that has thrown up a fault.
The outputs are bad so I was going to whip it out and replace it. I took the allan bolt out but the sensor wouldn't budge. I had already removed the disc and can confirm that you will be able to knock the sensor out from this side but I haven't done that just yet. Thought I best purchase a replacement first.

Damn that sounds annoying mate, i hate it when the haynes manual says something like "now remove the retaining clip" and makes it out to be a simple novice job, but then it turns out that you actually need a phd in controlling immense anger and a spare 2 grand to replace everything in the garage that you smash up... and a trip to a&e to fix your shattered hand.

...unless thats just me lol  :grin:

alright golfmk4owner ha ha ha it ontop of the hatred i hed at that moment i also rattled my head on the rear arch ha ha  not got sorted as work alot of hrs a fare bit from home so only weekend i get to work on the car and depends if i aint working lol

will try sort it this weekend hopefully.

(also noticed someone not put retaining srew back on the hub so need call vw .

will update lol anger rising ha ha ha honest i starting to miss my mk3 gti saw a couple crackers over weekend.
