What is this leak?

Is this a leak of some type? if so what is it from the looks of it its oil but on the air intake?

part of the breather system - nowt much to worry about

If you want to stop that you remove it and add in an oil catch tank

I am getting a new one on Tuesday because someone’s replaced it with a bit of garden house lol and its leaking all over

at my local VW [Rotherham] its Part number : 038 103 493A Air Hose £6.91 including VAT

its oil vapour AFAIK

Basically the TDI's are 'heavy breathers' and vent the vapour back into the turbo intake pipe

What you can do is fit a catch tank and stop that going back into the TIP.  This in turn stops your intercooler clogging up with the stuff, thus improving performance and reducing smoke levels

Hey guys has anybody got a pic of these oil catchers fitted? Im curious, i think i want one, are they simple to fit?
