theres no miss fire but still fault is showing??

i have a golf mk4 gti 150bh 20V and i have no idea wots wrong with it even the mechanics are baffled!!! ive had my car in and out of the garage since thursday last week and still it has been in every day to be scanned and is still showing the same fault code and fault. its saying tht there is an 'open circuit on coil 3' but it has had a new coil put in. i have been back todayand had a new coil put in but the engine management light comes on still what can it be?? any help or any 1 had the same problem???

wiring fault , hence why fitting new coil doesnt fix it ! are you using oem coils as aftermarket are crap ? you could have bad earth in the coil wiring loom . it needs to be testes at wiring plug to check for correct signals etc , can they scope it with scanner to see whats happening ? does it run fine ?

happy shopper coilpacks occasionally do that even from brand new. they work fine but report to the ecu it's unplugged. swap it with another cylinder and see if the fault code changes to eliminate a loom issue.
