I'm after some advice, opinions and general help really with my MK3 2.0L abf engine
It seems to have developed a missfire lately and i've been trying to diagnose the problems but i can't seem to fix it. It can happen if the car is under load or if you push quickly on the accelerator at a stand still, but has no issues with idleing etc.
I've had the following items brand new:
Distributor
Distributor cap
Rotor arm
Coil pack
Fuel pump relay
A few months before i also had a new set of HT leads and a new fuel filter
Now the cars been scanned twice and nothings appeared on the diagnostics. I'm awaiting a friend to bring round another relay 30 to test, although i've had mine apart, tested and it works fine, which left me to look at my injectors.
I've taken the injector rail out but i'm unable to figure out how they come out as it's not described in haynes for the ABF.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Also, although i've had a new distributor, rotor arm and cap it still seems to be producing the same fault before, in which the rotor arm doesn't seem to have a good connection with cylinder 2, and the spark plug in cylinder 2 is a slightly darker shade of brown compared to the rest.
This is what cylinders 1,3 & 4 look like in the distributor

This is cylinder 2

Can cleary see it's not making a great contact, which has happened on 3 distributor caps and there is no wear in the bearing on the distributor either so slightly stumped about that one
