nothing can go wrong with doing DIY on cars aslngas you take your time doing it, well hopefully nothing will go wrong !!

my engine went on my first car and i decided to give it a go at putting a new one in, took me awhile but in the end i got there and was all in working order, like i said took me awhile but was really happy when i was driving down the road smileing because id done it myself!!

now i do all my work to my car and never have a problem because i just look and take my time, cars are easy if you take your time and dont rush!!

servicing and changing the brakes are the easiest to do, brakes on mk4 are just two allen keys on the back of the caliper and servicing is the same as ant other car, when putting the oil in just read the oil tub and it will tell you how much oil to put in!!

hope thats a help

saw your from derby??? is that the derby in north wales?? iv just moved from llandudno back to mid wales!!

I'd love to be able to service and do stuff myself, i think with most of us it's getting past that fear of "I'm definately gonna fook something up" LOL
I'd like to do it myself but for the first time doing it i'd like someone there who knows what to do incase I bodge something, kinda like a safety net

 a safety net!! no need for that cant really mess it up if you take ur time and remember were everything goes when you put it all back!! confidence is the key word with DIY.
