Some little sh@t has just driven into my  PARKED mk3 valver and bent the drivers side wing mirror back, and smashed the mirror glass  Can I just pop down to Halfords and get a replacement glass? or do I need to get a whole new mirror

The halfords glasses stick to the old glass as long as you have that you will be ok however it will no longer be heated.

Chances are it would probably be cheaper to go down to the scrapyard and buy a new mirror then pay halfrauds for a bit of glass

Job done, went to the local scrappy today, found a crappy VR6 (little boys toy) and got the mirror off, popped the Mulberry cover off, and replaced it with my Dragon Green one, the best bit, I 'forgot' to pay

A VR6 is a crappy little boys toy? Coming from a 40 year old with a pussy little 8v GTI? Can't you handle 175bhp in a hatchback?

Being Mulberry means it's also a Highline, top of the range jobby that you don't need to stick a load of tat to in order to try and make it look good?!

I just don't see how you can say bad things about a VR6 if you've never driven one..

Oh and in the first post you say 'Mk3 valver' well 'valver' is a word often used to describe a 16v.. are you trying to make your car out to be something it's not?

Ok, we'll nip this in the bud now Joe...............

Yes, I have driven a VR6, and yes, they are very good/fast, just not my cup of tea, each to their own, I suppose you could say "each to their own" regarding mine, I've done what I've done to mine because thats my preference, you have done to yours what you have done, as is your preferance.

We could go on giving snide remarks on the forum forever and a day, but thats not what this forum is about, so we either agree to stop b!tching towards each other (after all, we don't really know one another) or we agree not to interfere with each others posts unless its positive.

The ball as they say, is in your court my friend

b!tching? It's all banter mate! Take anything I say with a pinch of salt (as intended!)

I'm the same with Deano but he knows I'm only kidding :afro:
