new crankshaft sensor now it won't start!!!!!!!!!

just spent an hour this morning changing the cranshaft sensor on my ady 8 valve and now the bloody thing won't start any ideas?

Just double check its all connected, and were they exactly the same size? the smallest air gap difference can cause it to not read.

damn, i feel your pain bud. I changed mine a few weeks ago, it worked but it was still a fiddly bloody job.

yeah exactly the same etc etc ,just refitted the old one and fired straight up, on inspection bloody new one had a crack around the base of the read switch which i hadn't noticed so hopefully can get a refund or exchange

Pls don' take this the wrong way but you did buy a new one didn't you and not one from a scrape yard. When you took the old one out you didn't leave anything behind did you. Or you could have bought a faulty sensor buddy.
