New plugs fitted, £38 spent and died next day!!
« on: 24 February 2010, 16:45 »
Any help and advice would be much appreciated!

Yesterday morning car wouldn't start, it would turn over ok but not actually catch to start up.

Mobile mechanics came over and after an hour of tinkering and looking over, replaced the spark plugs and it started first time, relief!

Ran the car all day no problem, start/stop all day long and ticking over as usual.

Then comes this morning and exactly the same problem! Turning over but not catching.

Had the same guys round again this avo and they dried out the plugs which were apparently drenched in fuel (and I didn't keep trying to turn the engine over to avoid this exact problem) and once again it started up no problem. Left it running for a while and then turned off and started up again a few times and no problem.

Bloke says looks like a cold start issue and possibly with a sensor but he's not sure!!!

I'll be able to drive the car this avo i reckon without any dramas but i'm not holding up much hope for tomorrow morning!

Please help! Is this common? or pricey? Thanks in advance guys!!
