Waterpump GTI 16V 1991 H plate NEW or USED????

Hi there

Still ongoing with the project that seems to be never ending!!!!

I have noticed this afternoon that the water pump is dripping water out.

My question is would you buy a new one or a used one, i am planning on keeping the car so i am swayed to a new one anyway, can anyone advise me on where to pick one up new and at what cost and also used and what sort of cost to expect.

Do the dealers still have stock or are they disccontinued now???

A new one is only about 25 quid.

GSF or Eurocarparts or any other independent VW parts business will supply one.

If you're doing it and you don't know when the cambelt was last done you should do that at the same time.  To be fair when the cambelt was replaced it should have had a new pump anyway.
